Carbon accounting is the foundation of all credible climate action. Before you can reduce your emissions, report them to regulators, or access carbon markets, you need to know your starting point. Yet for many Nepali organisations, this is a significant challenge.
The reasons are well known:
Data is fragmented. Electricity bills, fuel receipts, logistics records, and supplier data are scattered across departments and systems. Pulling together a complete picture of your emissions requires time, coordination, and persistence.
Methodologies are complex. The GHG Protocol, ISO 14064, and national reporting standards each have their own requirements and nuances. Understanding which methodology applies to your situation—and how to apply it correctly—requires specialised expertise.
Emission factors are wrong. Most international databases use European or American emission factors. Nepal’s hydro-dominated grid, its transport fleet, and its industrial processes are fundamentally different. Using the wrong factors leads to inaccurate results—and undermines credibility. A report built on European emission factors will not withstand scrutiny from a Nepali regulator or an international verifier.
Internal capacity is limited. Most Nepali organisations do not have dedicated sustainability teams. Carbon accounting is an additional responsibility for already stretched finance or operations staff. Without the right tools and expertise, it is easy to make mistakes—or to give up entirely.

Scope 1 Inventory

Scope 2 Inventory
Indirect emissions from purchased electricity, heat, or steam. We use Nepal-specific grid emission factors that reflect the country’s hydro-dominated energy mix. This is one of the few areas where Nepal has a natural advantage—and we make sure your report reflects it.
Scope 3 Inventory
Indirect emissions from your value chain—purchased goods and services, business travel, employee commuting, waste disposal, and the use of sold products. This is often the largest and most complex category. We help you prioritise the most material sources and apply the right methodologies.
Product Carbon Footprint (PCF)
We calculate the embedded carbon in specific products—essential for exporters facing EU CBAM or buyer requirements. A PCF is a detailed, product-level assessment that quantifies the emissions associated with producing and delivering a specific good.
Nepal-Specific Emission Factors
We have developed a proprietary database of emission factors tailored to Nepal’s grid, transport fleet, and industrial processes. This makes our inventories more accurate and more defensible. We continuously update this database as new data becomes available.
Verification Support
We prepare your inventory for third-party verification, ensuring alignment with ISO 14064-3 and the requirements of verification bodies. We help you assemble the evidence pack, respond to verifier queries, and close out any findings.

How We Work.
Boundary Setting (Week 1-2)
We define the organisational and operational boundaries of your inventory—which facilities, operations, and emission sources are included. This is a critical step that determines the scope and credibility of your entire inventory.
Step 2: Data Collection (Week 3-6)
We work with your team to collect activity data—fuel consumption, electricity usage, refrigerant top-ups, travel records, and supplier data. We provide templates and guidance to make this process efficient. We also help you identify data gaps and develop strategies to fill them.
Step 3: Emission Factor Selection (Week 7)
We apply the most appropriate emission factors for each source—prioritising Nepal-specific factors where available, and international factors where necessary. We document our choices and provide transparency on the sources and assumptions used.
Step 4: Calculation & Analysis (Week 8-10)
We calculate your emissions, analyse trends, and identify the largest sources. We present the results in a clear, accessible format—with visualisations that help you understand where your emissions come from and where the greatest reduction opportunities lie.
Reporting & Verification Support (Week 11-12)
We prepare your carbon inventory report, aligned with the GHG Protocol and any relevant reporting frameworks. We support you through third-party verification if required—responding to verifier queries and ensuring a smooth process.
